The trotter GUNNING was five back on the markers and finished in sixth position and MY MATE COL (4 back markers, 1-2 at the 800m, 3 wide at 600m) was the last horse across the line. KEAYANG ALEX dropped back to be sixth on the markers, moved up without cover from the 1300m and held on for fourth with HOLSTEIN being fifth after angling into the one out and one back trail mid-race. JACKSBOY (Art Major – Bridge Player 2.1.9, $32,450) settled three back on the inside and battled on fairly for third. He held his ground in the straight and produced a handy performance. ROYAL STARZZZ began quickly and was in front momentarily before taking cover. He backed up with a victory at Echuca on Thursday night. He enjoyed a nice run during the middle stages and was untroubled in scoring. Trial 3: - HEADBANGER began very quickly and was able find the lead around the first corner. She beat home BONNY TAYLAH, which dropped back to last early and remained in that position for the duration. LONGASULOVEME was three back on the markers, quickly dashed around to find the lead at the 1600m and yielded ground from the home turn. He was under pressure at the 400m and eased out three carts wide to allow a few others to gain a run on his inside on the home turn. CHEROKEE JAC (American Ideal – Little Red Cloud 1.52.0, $170,042) trailed the leader early and was three back on the inside when SHEZ ELITE took cover. INCLEMENT (Auckland Reactor – Royal Jinx 2.0.9, $5,588) was four back on the markers and was able to work into third position ahead of PRECIOUS TELL (Tell All – Precious Image 2.1.4, $35,643), which followed behind her throughout. She settled six back on the markers, used the sprint lane and finished rapidly. ALTA MADEIRA put in an eye-catching performance to finish second. She worked to the front in the straight and scored without being fully extended. Trial 2: - SHEZ ELITE began fast to find the lead, took a trail at the 1600m and came to the outside on the home turn. He was the last one to complete the course. ![]() DIAMOND ACE began quickly but was left without cover, restrained to be five back on the markers then moved into the one out and one back trail at the 1100m. She battled on quite well for fourth with LASTING BOND being fifth after trailing the leader throughout. THE LONGEST DAY settled down last and moved up without cover at the 1300m. That was a good hit-out for her first up performance at Echuca on Thursday, where she finished second after trailing the leader and using the sprint lane. CHANGEOVER GIRL was three back on the markers, got held up for a run at a vital stage and ran home well through the middle late for a handy third. SOFALA settled four back on the inside, moved into a trailing position at the 1100m (1-2), pulled hard and ran home well late so there was nothing wrong with his performance. He won in handy time and produced a big performance considering he is yet to face the starter and second was the Metropolitan class pacer SOFALA (National Rating 81). Trial 1: - BARNABY (Panspacificflight – Art For Artsplace) began brilliantly to find the lead and ran along at a genuine tempo.
